Year 9 & 10 Coordinator’s Message

Now that we have completed the first Semester it is a good time to reflect on what we have been able to achieve so far. As the new Year 9 & 10 Coordinator I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those people that have played an important part in the education of our students. Firstly I would like to thank our principle Mr. Mehmet Cicek for his leadership then I would like to thank all of the other Coordinators and Teachers. In particular I would like to thank the students and parents for their support this year which has been an integral part of our success thus far.

Many students find Year 9 challenging as they are becoming young men and they are faced with many challenges. Year 10 students also face new challenges and it is important that they are able to develop resilience to overcome these challenges. I have been impressed with both year levels in particular in areas such as uniforms, appearance and adhering to our phone policy. Seeing nearly 100% of students in full uniform during our assembly’s has been very impressive. While this is heartening there is so much more that we would like to achieve and I am looking forward to seeing the students grow into respectful and dignified young men.
